Amanda Brugel

(February 27th, 2010 - Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a sleepy community on the part of Montreal known as"the West Island. A lot of people who aren't aware of they mistakenly believe they are on the West Island extends westward from Montreal. However it is the West Island includes everything westward from the city of Lachine. Amanda Brugel is said to be born on the West Island. This isn't the case. The show was a recipient of the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to study at York University's theatre Program and graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. In the last 20 years the career of Brugel has seen her appearing in a variety of films and television productions. Her most famous role was the one of Rita (shown below) in the television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel is the only Canadian actress in the season 1 and only appeared at times.
