Kirsten Simone Vangsness is an American actress and playwright who was in the spotlight when she appeared as the character "Penelope Garcia" in the police procedural crime drama series, 'Criminal minds'. In addition, she has appeared on its two spin-off shows "Criminal minds Suspect Behavior' as well as 'Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.' Kirsten Vangsness has appeared in several other television shows as well. The majority of her work is as a TV actress, however she's played a handful of minor film roles after her first showbiz appearance in 1998. Her film work includes some of the notable performances include 'In My Sleep, The Chicago 8', and Kill Me, Deadly. Her work has been published on the Los Angeles Times. As also a playwright, she co-wrote three episodes for Criminal Minds. She has rescued and rehabilitated many injured and abandoned kittens.
